How Dataddo Account Owners Can Access Client Service Accounts (e.g., Facebook Ads, Google Ads) for Data Extraction

Issue:
When a Dataddo account owner wants to access their clients’ accounts in Facebook Ads (or similar services), they have two options:

Solution:

  1. If the owner’s Facebook Business Manager account manages the client’s ad accounts, then this single Business Manager account is sufficient for extracting data for all their clients.

  2. If the client has their own Business Manager account credentials for their ad accounts, the Dataddo account owner should invite the client as a team member in Dataddo with the Authorizer role. This allows the client to authorize their Facebook Ads service directly, enabling the Dataddo account owner to extract data on their behalf.

How to invite your client/colleague into Dataddo, Steps to follow:

  1. Click on your Dataddo settings → you will see it listed in the dropdown once you click on the down arrow, then navigate to the team members section (on your left panel) (screenshot below)

  1. To invite a team member:
  1. Go to the Team Members section.
  2. Click the Invite Team Member button on the right.
  3. In the pop-up, select the Authorizer role (screenshot below) if you want the invited member to have access only to authorizers (ideal for cases where they shouldn’t access other account components like sources, flows, or other authorizers).

  1. Enter their email address and send the invitation.

Once invited, they will receive an email to set up their Dataddo account.

This setup allows you to access clients’ data securely. With their manager account and credentials for any service, they can authorize the service on your behalf, enabling you to extract data and create reports for them.
